			| 1/3 cup (80 ml) |  | vegetable oil |  
			| 1½ tsp |  | cumin seeds |  
			| 1 kg |  | potatoes (peeled and cut lengthwise into 4 cm  X 1 cm  X 1 cm ) |  
			| 1 tbsp |  | salt |  
			| 2 tsp |  | red chilli powder |

			| 1. | Heat oil in Saucepan on medium heat for about 3 minutes. Add cumin seeds. Stir for a few seconds. Add potatoes. Stir. Add remaining ingredients. Mix. |  
			| 2. | Reduce heat to very low. Cover. Cook for 10 minutes. Stir. Cover. Cook till potatoes are tender (about 15 minutes).
