Remuneration (CTC Per Annum)



     

                             Founded in 1959, Hawkins Cookers Ltd. is a professionally managed, public limited Company. In the 12 months ended September 2022, sales were Rs.1034 crores, up 14%, and Profit After Tax was Rs.94 crores.


                             Hawkins is a leader in the Pressure Cooker market in India and has been diversified successfully into Cookware. Hawkins has offices in Mumbai at Cuffe Parade and Mahim and factories in Thane, near Mumbai, Hoshiarpur in the Punjab, and Sathariya, Jaunpur.


                           Hawkins is known for its fair policies and ethical practices. Hawkins emphasises incentive payment by results and selection and promotion purely on merit.            

              
                           For its factory situated in Sathariya, 50 km from Prayagraj, 100 km from Varanasi, Hawkins requires:

  1. Personnel Manager
  2. Welfare Officer
  3. Stores Manager
  4. Security Officer
                           General Manager, Manager or Officer grade will be offered depending upon the suitability of the candidate

Personnel Manager
The job involves responsibility of for all functions of a Personnel Department in a factory. It requires a post graduate degree with specialisation in Personnel or a minimum of five years of suitable experience. The Personnel Manager will be responsible for:
• Compliance of Labour Laws in respect of a Manufacturing factory and periodically up-dating the statutory documentation / registers;
• Recruiting, on-boarding and training new employees by following the recruitment policy of the Company;
• Enforcing discipline in the factory as per the Certified Standing Orders of the factory
• Overseeing the payroll process and ensuring timely payments
• Planning training of the existing employees as per the Company’s requirements
• Conducting annual appraisals of workers and staff of the factory
• Ensuring that the required reports and returns under the Labour Laws are timely submitted to the appropriate authorities
• Monitoring legal cases under the Labour Laws

Welfare Officer
The ideal candidate should be between 21 to 30 years holding any of the following required qualification as prescribed in the Uttar Pradesh Factories Welfare Officers Rules, 1955,.
i. Possesses a degree of a university established by law;
ii. He possesses –
a) A degree from any University established by law in Social Sciences or Labour Welfare or Industrial Relation and Personnel Management.
b) A diploma in Social Sciences or Labour Welfare or Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from any University or Institutions specified in the Schedule or two years experience of working in Labour Welfare of any factory:
The Welfare Officer will be responsible for:
• To promote harmonious relations and to do liaison work between the workers and the management;
• To get the grievances and complaints of workers with regard to their service conditions redressed as expeditiously as possible;
• Study the State Government Welfare policies for Industrial workers and guide the workers to get benefits from the same.
• To organise and supervise labour welfare work;
• To advise the management in matters requiring special knowledge of labour conditions and labour welfare and to take suitable steps to improve the living condition of workers;
• To exercise restraining influence over the workers in apprehended illegal strikes and over the management in declaring illegal lockouts;
• To help in preventing sabotage and other illegal activities of workers and the management, as the case may be;
• To detect and check bribery and corruption and to bring such cases to the notice of the management of the factory;

Stores Manager
The job involves managing the factory stores. Requires a commerce / engineering degree or material management qualification with three years’ experience. The Stores Manager will be responsible for:
• Check and receive incoming material for quality and quantity as per the invoices, purchase orders
• Timely issue material as per the requisitions of the manufacturing departments
• Maintain stocks as per the Company’s inventory policy
• Review physical quantities periodically and advise required actions such for procurement of short items / disposal of obsolete material
• Responsible for upkeep of the in-house and outhouse Stores.
• Maintain stock and consumption records
• Study material consumption as per norms and highlight inconsistencies in material consumption
• Timely dispose scrap at best possible price
• Timely generate inventory valuation as per the requirements of Accounts.

Security Officer
The job involves responsibility of all aspects of factory security and report directly to factory manager. It requires at least three years’ suitable experience recently retired military officers or released short service commission officer shall also be considered. The Security Officer will be responsible for:
• Overall Security of the Factory;
• Supervision and deployment of Security staff to ensure fool proof security of the plant;
• Review the existing Security Setup / systems and advise Management on changes / improvements required;
• Assist the Factory Management in ensuring discipline in the plant;
• Organise periodic training of Security aspects including fire-fighting;
• Periodical reviewing / testing of the fire-fighting systems installed in the factory and advise required improvements / changes;
