| The UL Mark is widely accepted and recognised as a trusted symbol of safety. Their certification include evaluation and factory surveillance of products by their field representatives located world wide to countercheck that the products continue to meet the safety requirements in order to bear the UL Mark. | BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARDS (BIS) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Bureau of Indian Standards empowered through a legislative Act of the Indian Parliament, known as the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986, operates a Product Certification Scheme. The certification allows the licensees to use the ISI Mark, which has become synonymous with Quality products for the Indian and neighbouring markets over the past 50 years. The Bureau's predecessor, the Indian Standards Institution began operating the Product Certification Scheme in 1955. Presently, more than 19,000 licences are in operation covering about 1,100 products. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Product Certification Scheme of BIS aims at providing Third Party Guarantee of quality, safety and dependability of products to the ultimate customer. The presence of ISI Certification Mark on a product is an assurance of conformity to the specifications. The conformity is ensured by regular surveillance of the licensee's performance by surprise inspection and testing of samples, drawn both from the market and factory. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| CE stands for Conformité Européenne and indicates to consumer that the product has been subjected to strict surveillance and meets essential legal requirements related to health and safety given in directive applicable to that product by the European Union. The essential requirements refer, among other things, to safety, public health and consumer protection. | The following Hawkins and Futura pressure cookers have been approved for CE marking by M/s Bureau Veritas S.A. which is one of the leading Notified Bodies from Europe. These cookers meet the Harmonised Standards EN 12778: 2002 and EN 12983-1: 2000 as well as essential safety requirements of Pressure Equipment Directive ( 97 / 23 / EC ) of the European Union. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
