Founded in 1959, Hawkins Cookers Ltd. is a professionally managed, public limited, listed Company. In the financial year ended, March 2024, sales were Rs. 1024 crores and Profit After Tax was Rs. 110 crores, up 16%. Hawkins is the leader in Pressure Cookers and has diversified successfully into Cookware. Hawkins has offices in Mumbai and factories in Thane, Hoshiarpur in Punjab and Sathariya in Jaunpur district in Uttar Pradesh.

Hawkins is known for its fair policies and ethical practices. Hawkins emphasises incentive payment by results and selection and promotion purely on merit. For its factory at Sathariya, 50 km from Prayagraj and 100 km from Varanasi, Hawkins requires personnel in its Finance, Accounts and Costing team. Interested persons may apply for other departments. Candidates should be 21 to 35 years of age. We are looking for graduates with good knowledge of Accounts, Costing, Taxation, Control aspects of accounting, Audit and Reconciliation. Hawkins runs its own accounting IT systems. A challenging and exciting part of this job will be that you will be required to design reports and systems and are not limited to running an existing software. A good understanding of Accounting Standards and the ability to deal with internal and external auditors is required. The grade and compensation for Cost Accountants, Chartered Accountants and candidates with higher experience will be fixed suitably. Sales / Marketing May be based in important towns across various parts of India. The job consists of managing Dealers, Modern Retail, and the Canteen Stores Department. It requires intensive travel and a good knowledge of the local language. The role also involves supervising and managing trainee salesmen, merchandisers, and redistribution salesmen. Achievement of sales targets comes with monthly incentives, which may add up to an additional 3–5 lakhs per annum. There may be opportunities to attend foreign conferences based on experience and performance. After gaining experience, promising candidates may be moved to Marketing. In Marketing, roles may involve digital marketing, social media management, performance marketing, market research, content, images and video creation, showroom development, brand and product management, packaging and communication design. Technical/ R&D Diploma holders, Engineering Graduates, and Postgraduates are required in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Tool Design and Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Machine Design, Product Design, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Material Science, or Robotics. The roles may involve work in Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, and Maintenance. Roles in Manufacturing involve planning and supervising production activities to achieve targets, improving productivity and quality, managing supply chain and managing labour. Hawkins manufactures most of its products in India. Improvement jobs in manufacturing may involve working in press shop, machine shop, anodising shop, or assembly shop, and leading teams to produce high-quality products. Roles in R&D involve maintaining and improving the quality of existing products, improving manufacturing processes, and designing and developing new products. Hawkins designs and develops all its products in-house. It is one of the very few manufacturers in India that designs and develops consumer products domestically and exports them worldwide. Our products are designed for utility, durability, and aesthetics. We are a Government-recognised R&D centre. Roles in Quality involve problem-solving, setting standards, testing, and quality control. Knowledge of statistical quality control techniques, root cause analysis, quality circles, process documentation, destructive and non-destructive testing, and leading quality improvement projects is required. Roles in Maintenance involve maintaining plant and machinery, and planning and executing preventive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime. Also improving processes and maintaining pollution control. Human Resources / Admin The role involves identifying business needs and recruiting the right talent, conducting annual appraisals, career planning, induction and training, recruitment and separation, negotiations with unions, ensuring compliance with labour laws applicable to factories and establishments, and providing feedback to senior management. The job in HR may involve: a. Designing internal and external training programs b. Mapping competency gaps and planning to address them c. Onboarding employees d. Managing diversity and equity initiatives, including organising town halls e. Improving appraisal systems The job in Admin may involve: a. Managing office/factory services and administrative work b. Executive Assistants to senior managers A good understanding of behavioural science, recruitment, compensation and benefits design, motivation, appraisals, industrial relations and labour laws is required. Accounts / Audit We are looking for accounting professionals who are at least commerce graduates. A good understanding of basic accounting principles, strong numerical ability, and a disciplined and careful approach are essential. Proficiency in spreadsheets is desirable. The role includes Finance, Direct and Indirect Taxation, Audit and Reconciliation, setting up Accounting Control Systems, Budgeting, Production Accounting, and Management Accounting. Hawkins runs its own accounting IT systems. A unique and exciting aspect of this role is the opportunity to design reports and systems rather than being limited to legacy software. A strong understanding of accounting standards and the ability to work with internal and external auditors is required. Cost Accountants and Chartered Accountants may start at a higher level based on their performance in the written test and interview. IT/Systems Good practical knowledge of one or more of the following is required: C++, C#, SQL, Java, Dart, ASP.NET, HTML/CSS, XML, Python, Android, Flutter, React Native, Tableau, and Power BI. Apply only if you enjoy coding and solving real-life problems. The role involves designing reports, implementing automation, and supporting various business functions with IT solutions, including emerging areas such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Skills in Data Science and Analytics applied to consumer and customer data, including GIS mapping, are also desirable. At Hawkins, the IT department largely develops in-house systems rather than relying on third-party ERP/CRM solutions, offering extensive exposure to system development.
