Green Split Pea Soup
(5 Litre pressure cooker)

Pressure Cooking Time 12 minutes
1¾ cups
green split peas
6¼ cups
water
5 cubes
vegetable bouillon
½ tsp
seasoning salt
1/8 tsp
pepper
a large pinch
chervil
a large pinch
dried basil leaves
a large pinch
dried marjoram leaves
a large pinch
dried thyme leaves
a pinch
sage
¼ cup
celery
finely chopped
1 small (4 oz / 120 g)
onion
finely chopped
1 small (4 oz / 120 g)
carrot
finely chopped
½ medium (2 oz / 60 g)
green pepper
de-seeded and finely chopped
Method

Recipe can be reduced to one-half by reducing all ingredients proportionately.

Put all ingredients except celery, onion, carrot and green pepper in cooker. Stir.

Close cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Reduce heat and cook for 12 minutes.

Remove cooker from heat. Allow to cool naturally.

Open cooker. Add remaining ingredients.

Place cooker on medium heat. Boil for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
